Failed by a care system that continuously ignored evidence of the abuse she suffered as a child, Louise was saved by her determination to escape home and become an artist.

Fifty years later, Thrown Away Child explores how her case was able to slip through the cracks, and how she uses her past to fight for the rights of looked-after children.
